Arringes is situated in the Morvan, in the centre of Burgundy, France. It lies close to Montigny en Morvan, a village which has a small shop, an excellent bakery and a pub with nice food. Chateau Chinon (8 km) is the closest city with supermarkets, postoffice, cinema, pub's, restaurants etc..
It is a 15 minute walk to Lac de Panneciere; an artificiel lake with very nice water to swim in summer.
The house is the last of a small hamlet; in the quiet and peacefull green hills of the Morvan. The perfect place for lovers of nature and people who like to be active; walking, cycling, swimming, mountainbiking or fishing. But also as a good retreat with a pile of books!

The house will be rented for a maximum of 4 persons and consists of:
A nice kitchen/lounge containing everything except a dishwasher.
A small but complete bathroom with a small tub/shower, bidet, sink and toilet.
A sleepingroom with a double (springbox)bed.
A salon( the french living) with tv, cd/dvd player and a generous collection of dvd's. In the salon are 2 extra (springbox)single beds. Quilts are present.
In the spatious garden surrounded by a hedge are a big trampoline and a swimming pool (only in summer).
On the porch you can sit ouside even with less beauitifull weather.
There is a woodstove in the kitchen; electric heaters in the other rooms.
You bring your own bed-, bath- and kitchenlinen.
We will do the final cleaning.

Area Info
The house is situated in the heart of the Parc Naturel Regional du Morvan, a natural reserve pervaded with tracks and paths. A detailed map is present in the house.
Several lakes are close by; Lac de Panneciere virtually behind the house on 1 km distance and the more touristic Lac des Settons with boat rental, playgrounds and many restaurants around it.
To the east you will find Autun (50km), Dijon (120km), Beaune (100km).
To the west there are Nevers (70km) and Paris (300 km).
More in the vincinity you will find Vezelay (pilgrimage), Avallon, Corbigny, Lormes and Saulieu. In summertime there are many fleamarkets in the region. There is a seasonal list of these in the house.
And ofcourse Burgundy is also known for its wines; you will be an easy daytrip from the Cote d'Or, Chablis, Sancerre, Pouilly, etc..
